Forge Community is a private, confidential community of single family office executives who leverage collective expertise to provide their peers with trusted, high-quality guidance. It gives members access to the industry’s largest vetted & non-commercial peer network and is the largest community of single family offices in the United States.

In 2011, Fidelity Investments invited eight single family office executives who were leaders of self-organized regional groups of their peers to participate in a live forum to share ideas. The feedback from this initial gathering was so strong that Fidelity committed to continue its efforts and formed FORGE, which stood for Family Office Regional Group Executives.

After the early success of bringing these regional groups together and the identification of more and more groups being formed around the country, FORGE became the Forge Community in 2019. This continued evolution shifted the focus to a national community and the development of a digital platform, which continues to serve the single family office industry today.

Forge Community is a service offered by Finforum LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of FMR LLC, commonly known as Fidelity Investments.

While Forge is independently operated, Fidelity acts as Forge's corporate sponsor and is committed to sustaining our community’s values: private and confidential, free of vendors and solicitation, and for single family offices only.

We do not share any member profile data with Fidelity Investments.

Forge may share anonymous, aggregated information about the community, with members and Forge’s stakeholders.

Fidelity invests in a range of innovation centers across the markets in which it operates. As a key provider to single family offices, Fidelity sees the Forge Community as a strategic platform to add value to an important client base, while also learning from the aggregated insights the community provides.

Forge is a private community of single family office executives and employees or family members connected to the family office. Members must be part of a single family office that has at least one full-time employee dedicated to managing the financial and human capital of the family. They cannot have a commercial motive to join the community. Membership requires candidates complete an application and participate in a vetting call with Forge staff before receiving an invitation to officially join the community.

Being a member of Forge provides access to a private, confidential community comprised of single family office executives, offering experienced answers, advice, and recommendations from peers. It provides access to the nation’s largest SFO community and exclusive SFO-only research, and industry-leading events.

Membership in Forge is free for all members. Select in-person events may have a fee to help cover costs associated with the program.

While we do not charge a membership fee, there’s an expectation for Forge members to contribute and engage.

Each member attests to the Forge Community Pledge which requires all members to keep member information private and confidential. All members must abide by the pledge and violations will be reviewed by a Governance Committee made up of peers.

• You provide certain personal information to create an account. To an extent, some of this information is available to other community members on your member profile.
• Your name, profile, posts, and comments are all viewable by other community members. Periodically, Forge may share anonymous, aggregated information about the community, with members and Forge’s stakeholders.

We built our platform knowing security and privacy are of utmost importance to single family offices. Here are the key measures we take:

• You cannot register for the platform unless you have received a unique invitation
• All platform registrations and logins are monitored and auditable
• The platform is actively moderated to ensure members are abiding by the community membership pledge

Since Forge Community membership is strictly vetted and built on trust and collaboration, anonymous participation in the community is not permissible.

Forge may gather data from individual members or family offices to assist with rendering services to the community (e.g., communicating about upcoming events or changes to the platform, developing relevant programming based on community demographics). Forge Community does not share this data in any circumstance, including with Fidelity Investments, except anonymously or in aggregate.
